The startup lacked a distinctive visual identity. In a market where most barbershops relied on cliché barber pole icons and generic branding, the company risked blending in and failing to leave a memorable impression.

To create a modern, sleek brand identity that conveyed premium quality through gold tones and stood apart from the competition, ensuring the company would be both recognisable and memorable.

Setting the tone through imagery
The Moodboard
I went to Pinterest and found images to convey the mood and personality of the company that they wanted to give. The words were, premium, vintage, bold, luxurious and strong. I used those words to find font, illustration, logo, immagery and colour palette.
I sent it to the client, and it was approved. The client said that it perfectly captured the look and vibe they wanted for their brand.

From the moodboard, I explored several design concepts with explanations and presented them to the client. I wrote down the design choices so the clients knew why I choose these elements together and why they go well.
They loved this design and the strategic placement of the logo elements and approved of the whole logo. I then placed it in mockups to show the client how it would look in real life.
